the project
Homeopathy for Health in Africa (HHA) is a voluntary non-profit organization treating AIDS patients with homoeopathy. Homoeopathic practitioners Jeremy and Camilla Sherr moved with their young children to northern Tanzania in 2009 and opened the first clinic. Now there are twelve clinics in the Kilimanjaro region, ranging from back yards and huts in rural villages to AIDS support centers, a Maasai village and two hospitals. Please visit HHA's website for more information: http://www.homeopathyforhealthinafrica.org/index.php
location & weather
HHA is headquartered in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, about 70 km from Arusha. Moshi is a busy, small town with hotels and restaurants and lots of markets and shops and has a beautiful view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The clinics are in the rural villages, some close to town and others up to an hour away from Moshi. Tanzania is a peaceful, beautiful and vibrant country. The language of the country is Swahili. Moshi is in the highlands of the Kilimanjaro region, 1000 meters high and thus more comfortable than the lowlands of Africa. Overall it is a very pleasant climate. The winter, from May to October is pleasant and cool, 13--‐20C. The summer, December through February, is hotter, 28‐38C, but dry. The rainy season is April‐May, and 2 weeks in November.
